the wilder kitchen

"We packed a bag full of wood, cast iron grills and wild ingredients before traversing the golden ridge of The Fiddler in search of dusk. The weight of the bag was impractical and our minds endured the resentment of my idea en route. On top of the mountain, dusk carved shadows throughout the Scottish countryside whilst we ate wild partridge by the fire."

"Fire on the Mountain" is a collaborative project by William and Bill Baillie, aiming to celebrate the interplay between fire, nature, and the Scottish landscape. Through a series of images, they sought to seamlessly intertwine these elements within a single shot, drawing inspiration from our ancestral understanding of fire and open spaces. The project serves as a visual exploration of the harmonious connection between these natural elements in the Scottish context.
